Role Overview
As Social Media Coordinator, you will support in the implementation of the organic social
strategy across Instagram and grow the channel’s presence through innovative,
best-in-class content to drive reach and engagement. You will be Instagram-obsessed, full of innovative, new ideas and be on the pulse of trends and platform updates to ensure Space NK is leading the way on Instagram.
The Social Media Coordinator will be primarily responsible for the day-to-day planning, co-ordination and execution of Instagram content. You will report into the Social Media Manager and work closely with the wider Content and Marketing team to deliver scroll-stopping Instagram content.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the implementation of the social media strategy on Instagram including the day-to-day content planning, execution and publishing of content on Instagram
- Propose and produce original disruptive content to bring moments to life on Instagram that engage our community.
- Propose and produce an Instagram story strategy to support our social traffic goals.
- Create and coordinate all Instagram content briefs including engaging and working with creators, founders and creatives.
- Work closely with the Social Media Coordinators and the wider marketing teams to propose cohesive plans that relate back to overall messaging to support new product and brand launches.
- Liaise with Buying and Trading teams to ensure key promotions and launches are factored into Instagram plans and content is adapted to best suit the channel.
- Attend Space NK events and stores regularly to create engaging content with founders and creators.
- Collaborate with the Community Coordinator to nurture our existing Instagram community as well as producing content and ideas that help grow our community.
- Evaluate performance across Instagram on a weekly and monthly basis, reporting on key metrics to provide actionable insight for content improvement.
- Presenting reports to marketing teams and senior stakeholders, ensuring the wider business understand how social objectives fit with wider business goals.
- Managing invoices and payments in line with Instagram budgets.
- Conducting regular content and competitor audits, sharing thoughts and opportunities with the Social Media team.
- Be the internal Instagram expert; staying up-to-date with social trends, platform updates and sharing them with relevant stakeholders.
Key Skills & Experience
- Experience driving growth and engagement across social media platforms.
- Strong understanding of social media platforms, trends, content creators, emerging platforms, and best practices.
- Passion for the beauty industry.
- Strong content creation skills, including filming and video editing.
- Confident and comfortable on camera with the ability to create reactive content quickly.
- Strong copywriting skills.
- Strong analytical skills and track record of collating data to compile reports to circulate to wider business.
- Track record of delivering scroll-stopping social first campaigns
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, reactive environment.
- High attention to detail.
- Excellent multi-tasking and organisational skills.
- Some experience managing people.
